Made in Jamaica

After several delays, none of which I minded much as I was still preparing to leave, I have arrived in Kingston and met up with Lesley and Gavin, and we are becoming fast friends. Lesley was gracious enough to give me a room to stay in while in Kingston, where I’m writing from now, high in the hills. The result of being delayed is that it was night by the time we flew in, and I didn’t get to see it from above much, I’m missing the lay of the land (but I did capture these High Definition clips of an electrical storm at sunset!). Tomorrow being Sunday, combined with the fact that Friday was a holiday, means very little can be done tomorrow but hang out and get to know my hosts better.

The first mission is getting a cellphone. I will make an attempt tomorrow but I’m getting the feeling that it won’t be possible until Monday. To be honest, a day to just get acquainted and readjust would be amazing.

Will keep you posted.
